Boys Over Flowers: My OG K-Drama Addiction 🎬💖

Okay besties, lemme take you back to where my K-drama journey officially started — Boys Over Flowers. 🥀✨ When I watched ep 1, I was like, “ummm idk if I’m built for this” 👀… but fast forward a few eps, and boom 💥 — total addict alert.

This show is a straight-up cult classic 🎭. Like, if you’re an Indian Gen Z and haven’t watched Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, what are you doing?? Same energy for K-drama stans and BOF — if you haven’t seen it, do you even K-drama? 🤷‍♀️

Enter the Drama: Rich Boys, Helicopters, and CHAOS 💸🚁🔥

The story’s set in the ✨ultra-elite✨ Shinhwa High, which is basically where billionaires send their kids. You’ve got this squad called F4 — four insanely rich, stupidly handsome, fashion-god level guys 😮‍💨💅. They don’t repeat outfits (iconic), pull up in helicopters, sportscars, or motorcycles, and walk like they own the world.

  • Gu Jun-Pyo (Lee Min Ho aka hairstyle of the century 🧼🔥): Heir to the Shinhwa empire, the main character energy guy.
  • Yoon Ji-Hoo (Kim Hyun-Joong — MY bias okay don’t come at me 😩🎻): Angelic violin boy, runs music schools, always sleepy but in a ✨mysterious✨ way.
  • So Yi-Jeong (Kim Bum): Potter prodigy 🎨, certified smile killer 😏, plays the rich Casanova card too well.
  • Song Woo-Bin (Kim Joon): Low-key mafia prince 👑🔫, casually rich and always vibing.

They’re kinda… the school’s soft-core bullies?? Like, they hand out red F4 cards to people who annoy them, and the entire school jumps in to ruin the poor soul’s life 😵‍💫. Harassment levels = 🚩🚩🚩

Cue the Entrance: Jan-Di the Baddie 💥🧼

Meanwhile, we have Geum Jan-Di, a normal girl from a fam that runs a dry-cleaning biz. She’s not a top student or anything, she just wants to swim 🏊‍♀️. Total ✨relatable queen✨.

So it all kicks off when Jan-Di, a regular girl from a poor fam, delivers a uniform 🧺👕 to this boujee AF high school called Shinhwa High 💎📚. She stumbles into a crisis—one of the students is getting bullied so bad he’s about to jump off the school terrace 😱💔. While the other spoiled rich kids are busy recording the drama 📱🤳, Jan-Di “accidentally” saves the dude ’cause she needs her $30 payment 😂💸. This wild moment goes viral on the news 📺 and to avoid bad PR, the school (owned by Jun-Pyo’s scary mom 🧊) offers Jan-Di a full ride 🎓💯.

At first she’s like “nahhh” 🚫 but then sees they got a sick swimming pool 🏊‍♀️✨ and says yes. On her first day, while hunting for the pool with a whole MAP in hand 🗺️🤣, she spots this angelic dude playing the violin 🎻😭—it’s Ji-Hoo, mysterious, broody, and lowkey a walking Tumblr post 😍. She awkwardly asks him for directions, he points, and goes back to being emo 🎶💔.

Enter: the infamous F4 💥—four rich, hot guys who run the school like a mafia squad 😂👑. Jan-Di watches as Jun-Pyo (the ringleader) is rude AF to a girl who brings him cake 🍰🗑️ and she’s instantly triggered 😡. Later, she vents under a staircase only to find Ji-Hoo casually sleeping there 💤. He wakes up like, “girl, at least pronounce his name right” and dips 😂.

Things get even messier when Jan-Di befriends Min-Ji 💕 and they bump into Jun-Pyo. Min-Ji drops ice cream on his designer shoes 🍦👞 and he demands she LICK IT OFF 🤮. Jan-Di’s like HECK NO and smashes her own ice cream in his face 😂💅. Ji-Hoo lowkey smiles for the first time, like “okay queen” 😌. She throws him a $20 and says, “get it laundered, I’ll even give you a discount” 🧼🔥. Jun-Pyo is shooketh 😤 and he issues the infamous red F4 card 🔴 meaning: let the bullying begin.

Jan-Di gets wrecked—flour, eggs, pranks, sabotage—you name it 💥🥚😩. She rants again under the stairs (hello Ji-Hoo, again 😅) and they talk pancakes 🥞💬. He wipes flour off her face with a luxury handkerchief like a K-drama prince 💫. Meanwhile, Jun-Pyo watches the chaos on CCTV like he’s in a telenovela 📺👀, but when the harassment goes too far and dudes try to assault Jan-Di in the locker room 😡💢, Ji-Hoo shows up like a silent hero and scares them off 🔥🛡️.

She thanks him and he’s like “staircase was too noisy, so I napped here in the gym now” 😂💤. Meanwhile, Jun-Pyo hears about it and actually gets mad—not ’cause Jan-Di got saved but because his boys went too far. So yeah, he’s a menace but not totally heartless 🤷‍♂️💔.

Outside school, Jan-Di works at a restaurant with her BFF Ga-Eul 👯‍♀️🍜 and she’s OBSESSED with Min Seo-Hyun, a classy queen and Ji-Hoo’s first love 😍👑. She sees Ji-Hoo at a bus stop touching Seo-Hyun’s poster (creep alert lol) and wipes it with a tissue 🧻. He thinks it’s for him—awkward—but when he realizes it’s for the poster, he SMILES for real for the first time 🥹✨. She fangirls hard and Ji-Hoo is lowkey impressed… until she says Seo-Hyun should marry a president and he storms off 💔😤.

Back at school, the bullying escalates with rumours Jan-Di is pregnant 😵‍💫🍼. She storms into the F4 lounge and Jun-Pyo thinks she’s there to beg 🙄. But nah—she GOES OFF, yells she hasn’t even kissed anyone, and full-on roundhouse kicks him in the chest 🥋👟💥. The rest of F4? CACKLING. Ji-Hoo? Living. Jun-Pyo? Absolutely humbled.

The F4 room is straight-up giving rich boy energy 😎—Ji-Hoo’s off in a corner with his serious face, pulling Tarot cards like he’s summoning vibes from the universe 🔮, while Yi-Jeong and Woo-Bin are just chillin’, playing billiards like it’s no big deal 🎱. Jun-Pyo’s sitting all moody until Yi-Jeong asks what’s up. Jun-Pyo says Jan-Di’s clearly into him because she hasn’t quit school yet, even though he said she wouldn’t last a week 💀. The other two burst out laughing because like… bro really thinks she’s enduring bullying just to get his attention? 😂 Obsessed with himself much? Anyway, Jun-Pyo decides to get wild and literally kidnaps Jan-Di from school (yup, red flag 🚩), gives her a makeover with designer clothes and glam jewellery 💄👑, thinking she’ll be flattered. But Jan-Di’s not having it—she thought it was Ji-Hoo who invited her, and when she sees Jun-Pyo, she rages, rips off the expensive outfit, throws the luxury shoes in the garden, and storms out like the queen she is 👠🔥. Meanwhile, we see the “almighty” Jun-Pyo turn into a toddler when a bug shows up 🪳—dude’s literally running and hiding behind couches while his staff battles the insect like it’s the final boss 💀.

Later, Jan-Di’s walking barefoot and Ji-Hoo (aka the God of Looks and Manners 😩✨) spots her from his motorbike. He sits with her, and they have the softest convo ever on a bench 🥹💬. He notices her feet, gives her his diamond-studded sneakers from his gym bag like it’s nothing 💎👟, and we just know Jan-Di is catching feels. She washes the shoes carefully and tries to return them, but Ji-Hoo’s not around. Instead, Yi-Jeong and Woo-Bin find her and are like “Oh? You’re here for Jun-Pyo?” but she’s like “Nah, give these to Ji-Hoo.” They’re impressed and even treat her to tea ☕, saying she’s the most fun the school’s had in forever (shoutout to her legendary kick). But just as Jan-Di is lowkey falling for Ji-Hoo, she sees a commercial starring Seo-Hyun—Ji-Hoo’s glamorous first love—and realizes she might be third-wheeling hard 💔.

Jealous Jun-Pyo, meanwhile, is trying to play the nice guy after Jan-Di gets hit by a ball and offers her a handkerchief 🩹, but she roasts him for everything—his hair, his outfits, his whole existence 😤💅. Feeling attacked, he decides to go full extra and books a PRIVATE JET trip for the entire school 💀✈️. Everyone boards except Ji-Hoo (waiting for Seo-Hyun) and Jan-Di, who dipped to the beach with her BFF Ga-Eul 🌊. So, Jun-Pyo throws a tantrum and changes the plan to a cruise 🛳️ like… boy, calm down. Meanwhile, Ji-Hoo and Seo-Hyun reunite at the airport and their hug? Straight-up romantic drama overload 💘.

As if that wasn’t enough chaos, Jan-Di gets tricked by mean girls into dressing up as Wonder Woman for a “costume” party, only to show up and realize it’s a formal affair 🫠. She hides, embarrassed, but Ji-Hoo steps in like a true king, covers her with his coat, and Seo-Hyun gives her a glow-up in her hotel room 💅👗. When Jan-Di reappears, everyone’s jaws drop—she’s stunning. Ji-Hoo is forced to dance with her but she keeps stepping on his feet 🦶😂. Jun-Pyo, watching all this in his feelings, storms outside near the pool… and sees a bug again. He panics and falls in. Plot twist: he can’t swim 😱. Jan-Di saves him with CPR, and when he wakes up thinking she kissed him, he kisses her back… and gets punched instantly 👊💋.

After that, Jun-Pyo tries all kinds of nonsense to get her attention—gluing taps shut, floating toy ducks in pools, the works 🦆. Meanwhile, Ji-Hoo is playing the violin in the snow, sad and beautiful, and Jan-Di ties a handkerchief on his injured finger 🥺🎻. She even leaves her umbrella to protect his violin from the snow, because she knows he wouldn’t accept help directly. But the drama spikes when she sees Ji-Hoo kissing Seo-Hyun goodbye. Her heart breaks, and Jun-Pyo, trying to help in his weird rich boy way, clears out an entire restaurant so she can cry in peace 🍷. She accidentally drinks vodka thinking it’s water and throws up all over his designer clothes 😬🍸.

Next morning, Jan-Di wakes up in Jun-Pyo’s mansion, in his bed—nothing sus, just drama. The butler is thrilled like “omg Master finally brought a girl home!” but suddenly, the witch arrives—aka Jun-Pyo’s terrifying mom 😱. Flashback shows she once had him fake-kidnapped and nearly drowned as a punishment, which explains his fear of water 💔. Jun-Pyo hides Jan-Di from his mom and calls F4 for help. They all assume he and Jan-Di are a couple now, and the tension is THROUGH. THE. ROOF. 😮‍💨🔥

Whew, Gen Z ain’t ready for all this rich kid trauma, love triangles, and chaotic romance—but we are HERE for it 💃📺✨ Ready for More? 👀🍿

Okay, bestie, buckle up 💺 because Jun-Pyo’s fam is throwing a bougie auction event at their mansion — red carpet, flashing lights, elite vibes only ✨. Jan-Di shows up and suddenly she’s that girl — walking the ramp like a queen and rolling in with Ji-Hoo. The chairman who helped Jan-Di get into the school spots her and immediately goes 👀 but keeps quiet because he knows Mama Kang would explode if she found out the tea. During the auction, Jan-Di’s eyes sparkle when she sees legendary swimmer goggles up for bid (girl’s a swimmer too, remember?). She’s like “I want it 🥹,” and Jun-Pyo, being a total simp, buys them for her and gifts them without saying much. Cue the warm fuzzies 💘.

Just when the vibes feel sweet, Seo-Hyun swings by the pool for a heartfelt goodbye. She gifts Jan-Di some snazzy shoes and drops a “please take care of Ji-Hoo” moment. Jan-Di, being the soft-hearted cinnamon roll she is, begs Seo-Hyun not to leave ‘cause Ji-Hoo will be all alone 😢. Ji-Hoo sees this and goes OFF. He’s like, “Why are you interfering in my life?!” Jan-Di’s trying to help, but he’s too heartbroken to hear it. (This is where I cry because if Kim Hyun-Joong is sad, I’m sad 🥺💔.)

Cut to Jan-Di casually chilling in the F4 lounge now like she belongs 💅. Everyone’s wondering where Ji-Hoo is — no texts, no calls. They pull up to the airport to see off Seo-Hyun, but Ji-Hoo is MIA. Just as the crew starts dragging him for ghosting, BOOM! Ji-Hoo appears from behind a poster like a drama king, saying he’s been waiting for 3 hours and is flying out to surprise Seo-Hyun 😮. Before leaving, he gives Jan-Di a lil forehead kiss for the advice (cue Jun-Pyo internally combusting with jealousy 😤🔥).

Now we enter the “Jun-Pyo in denial” era. He starts acting like he’s scolding Jan-Di in public but is secretly trying to date her 🥴. He plans a date, Jan-Di forgets (oops 😬), and they end up stuck in a trolley car. Word gets out, and boom — gossip explodes, and Jan-Di’s back to being bullied for “seducing” Jun-Pyo 🙄.

Meanwhile, Min-Ji (remember the ice-cream bestie?) sees pics of Jan-Di and Jun-Pyo and looks lowkey 💔. Jan-Di goes to her house and sees her snatch away an old school book. Suspicious behaviour. At a party, Min-Ji goes full mean girl mode, insults someone for bumping into her, and Jan-Di’s like, “Wait… what?” She escapes to the terrace and finds a guy playing guitar — gives major Ji-Hoo vibes. He offers her a drink and then… blackout 😨. The next thing we know? Jan-Di’s in a bed and photos leak. Yep. Chaos.

Now Jan-Di’s getting cyberbullied again. Meanwhile, Jun-Pyo is trying to become boyfriend material — he straightens his curls (2 hours, y’all!), wears a school uniform instead of Gucci, and pulls up looking all normal and humble. But when he sees the pics, he spirals HARD. Gun range. Speed racing. Emotional breakdown. Boy is hurting. 😢💔

Jan-Di’s now full-on F4 squad but also totally isolated. Jun-Pyo ghosting her, Ji-Hoo MIA. Yi-Jeong and Woo-Bin slide into detective mode and uncover the truth: Min-Ji planned the whole fake scandal because Jun-Pyo once called her ugly in school 😬. She went full surgery glow-up, but he fell for Jan-Di anyway. Min-Ji confesses and tells Jun-Pyo to stay away from Jan-Di. Jan-Di defends Min-Ji against the school haters (queen behaviour 👑) but still says she can’t forgive her. Min-Ji dips.

Jun-Pyo, realizing his mistakes, goes full white knight. Declares Jan-Di his official girlfriend in front of the school and says messing with her = messing with F4 💪. Ji-Hoo pops in like “I object!” and everyone’s SHOOK 😱. He’s back, baby.

Yi-Jeong grabs Ga-Eul, thinking it’s urgent, only to find out they’re all flying out on a private jet (yes, Jun-Pyo flexed HARD 💸). Destination? Woo-Bin’s private island. Yup, casual. Jan-Di’s overwhelmed. Ga-Eul’s stunned. The boys are vibing. Jun-Pyo confesses again, but Jan-Di’s still unsure. Ji-Hoo, meanwhile, is silent, lurking, brooding 🧍‍♂️.

While everyone’s playing around, Jan-Di swims in the sea, gets cramps, and starts drowning. Jun-Pyo freezes because of his water trauma, and Ji-Hoo dives in to save her 🥺. Jun-Pyo later gives her a handmade anklet, but that night, Ji-Hoo hugs Jan-Di, drops some deep pain, and she doesn’t get it — but her anklet falls, and Ji-Hoo picks it up. When Jun-Pyo sees it with him? 👀 He’s like “That’s mine,” and Ji-Hoo deadass goes, “Nah, it’s mine now.” DRAMA.

Now it’s unsaid war. Ji-Hoo starts pulling Jan-Di away — boat rides, cute moments, soft smiles — and Jun-Pyo’s watching all of it unfold with heartbreak in his eyes. Then, news drops: Seo-Hyun is marrying a politician. Jan-Di realizes what Ji-Hoo meant that night. They cry together, and in a moment of weakness, Ji-Hoo kisses her. Jun-Pyo sees it, dips in rage 💔. Jan-Di realizes she’s in love with Jun-Pyo now (girl… too late 🙃).

Ji-Hoo gets it. He backs off, becomes her bestie/soulmate now. Jun-Pyo? MAD. Uses his chaebol power and tries to expel them both (rich kid tantrum 101 😅). Then Jun-Pyo’s ICONIC sister walks in and is like, “Y’all need therapy AND a competition to settle this.” Whoever wins gets to stay.

Now we get the F4 Olympics. Driving challenge? Ji-Hoo faces his trauma and drives for Jan-Di 🥹. Swimming round? Jun-Pyo, scared of water, skips but pulls a power move and shuts off the pool lights. Match ends in a tie. His sister dips, leaving them to figure things out. Everyone starts healing. Friendship 2.0 is HERE 💖.

But Ji-Hoo ain’t done yet. He starts visiting all the old spots Jan-Di shared with Jun-Pyo — the trolley, the scribbles, everything. Jun-Pyo’s tailing them in his car, and Ji-Hoo sees it all on CCTV. In one last act of closure, Ji-Hoo pretends to kiss Jan-Di — and she flinches. That’s the moment. She knows. Ji-Hoo’s her past, Jun-Pyo’s her heart. 💔➡️💘

Okay bestie 😭 buckle up ‘cause this is PURE DRAMA, TEARS & SLOW-BURN ANGST 💔🔥. So, Jan-Di heads home all heartbroken, while our emotional support puppy Ji-Hoo stares sadly into the void (ugh someone hug him please 😭). But then — plot twist! Ji-Hoo calls the F4 boys for a “game” which turns into an actual fight club moment 🤼‍♂️. He then drops this heart-wrenching (but fake 😅) story about Jun-Pyo breaking his childhood toy that reminded him of his late parents, just to get some petty revenge — and wow he really had us all crying for NOTHING 😩. Anyway, everything gets sorted, and suddenly Jan-Di gets a call that Jun-Pyo is in the hospital and it’s serious serious. She runs in, crying her heart out, confessing her love 💘, and Ji-Hoo’s just awkwardly hiding behind a curtain like 🥲. But SURPRISE it was a prank, and everyone clowns her (lowkey rude but also kinda iconic) — thus begins Friendship 3.0. And yeah, Ji-Hoo’s still lurking in the background being sad and soft as always.

The dating era kicks off and it’s ADORABLE 🥺. Jun-Pyo starts doing all these “commoner” things like sweating it out in a public sauna, eating street food, and even making kimchi 💅, while Jan-Di gets a taste of the VIP life with limos and luxury. Meanwhile, Ga-Eul’s got a new man, so she and Jan-Di plan a double date… but plot twist, the guy is ✨TRASH✨. He’s rude to the girls and Jun-Pyo punches him (king behaviour). But OF COURSE Jan-Di assumes it’s just him flexing his chaebol powers and breaks up with him again (girl 😤 LISTEN for once). Ji-Hoo steps in with the wisdom of a 1,000-year-old romantic and explains that couples have misunderstandings and they need to talk it out — we stan a love counsellor 🧠💬. Later, the girls find out the boyfriend was actually a jerk and Ga-Eul tells Jan-Di to GO to Jun-Pyo immediately. Meanwhile, Yi-Jeong’s also having his daddy issues moment, but he finds Ga-Eul crying and comforts her — and just like that, a new ship slowly sets sail 🚢💕

Jan-Di and Jun-Pyo make up, yay! And over at the restaurant, there’s this mysterious grumpy ahjussi (old man grandfather age) who’s always criticizing the chef and never paying — Jan-Di and Ga-Eul are OVER IT 😤. Things take a turn when Jun-Pyo’s mom (aka ultimate villain 😈) sees him doing cheesy couple stuff with Jan-Di and basically unleashes corporate hell. Jan-Di’s fam gets evicted, the laundry’s gone, they can’t even find a basic job because the Shinhwa empire owns EVERYTHING. Jun-Pyo is completely clueless about all this while Jan-Di suffers silently. Ji-Hoo, once again proving he’s secretly in love with her, keeps showing up to lift her spirits 💗.

To make ends meet, Jan-Di accepts a sketchy modelling job that turns dangerous, but a mysterious hot model saves her. Then BOOM he suddenly shows up at school as the new transfer student and is OBVIOUSLY here to stir trouble 😬. Jan-Di starts hanging out with him, even lies to Jun-Pyo about where she’s going (not cool 🥲). Jun-Pyo gets hurt and ends up crashing at Ji-Hoo’s house for a bro sleepover (a weirdly soft moment?? 🛏️💕). Ji-Hoo, now DONE with all the drama, tells Jan-Di she’s messing with Jun-Pyo’s heart and needs to stop. Then her modelling pics go public, and school bullies pounce on her again — but the new model dude saves her (hmmm suspicious 👀).

Things spiral FAST when Jan-Di starts receiving the F4 red card again 😨. A flower pot falls, a gas attack happens, and eventually she’s KIDNAPPED and taken to the model’s place. Turns out, he’s the brother of the swimmer Jan-Di saved in Episode 1 and has been working for Jun-Pyo’s evil mom all along. But he takes it too far and tries to hurt Jan-Di (trigger warning: it gets dark), and when she fights back, he drugs her 💔. F4 and Ga-Eul go full Avengers mode to find her. Jun-Pyo, who gets a threat letter, arrives just in time and takes a brutal beating to save her. Jan-Di jumps in to protect him and ends up hurt too 💥. F4 finally finds them and saves the day.

Despite everything, Jun-Pyo’s mom keeps trying to tear them apart, but Jan-Di refuses to let go 💪. So, the crew plans a healing trip and Jun-Pyo gives her a super meaningful chain (🥹💍). But during a hailstorm, Jan-Di loses the chain and goes out looking for it, even though it’s DANGEROUS. Jun-Pyo’s mom finds out and sends guards to drag him away, but Ji-Hoo calls and warns him — so Jun-Pyo ESCAPES and finds Jan-Di. They get stranded in a cabin and y’all — THE ROMANCE IS 🔥🔥🔥.

Just when things are looking cute, news drops that Jun-Pyo’s father died, and he rushes to China 😞. Back home, Jan-Di’s family is still struggling, and Ji-Hoo, our silent hero, secretly gets them jobs without them knowing it was his doing (ANGEL ENERGY). Jan-Di’s shoulder pain gets worse and Ji-Hoo (once again telepathic king 👑) takes her to the hospital. Turns out she can’t swim anymore — dream officially crushed 😭. Ji-Hoo gently tells her it’s okay, “We’ll find a new dream.” MELTING.

Meanwhile, the cranky restaurant ajusshi turns out to be Ji-Hoo’s grandfather 😳. Jan-Di decides to do one last swim before letting go of that chapter. She and Ga-Eul start a bakery side hustle to fund the trip, but no one’s buying until F3 show up and suddenly everything’s SOLD OUT 😂. They surprise her with a “swim graduation” ceremony — it’s the sweetest, most emotional full-circle moment 🥹🏊‍♀️. From strangers to soulmates to found family — this crew’s growth?? ICONIC.

OMG, so Jan-Di jets off to China 🇨🇳 but can’t find Jun-Pyo coz of the language gap 😩. She’s wandering the streets and ends up in some sketchy trouble until Ha-Je-Kyung swoops in like a total lifesaver 💁‍♀️✨. They vibe instantly but don’t swap names — kinda mysterious, right? Jan-Di tries to find Jun-Pyo again and spots him smiling super close to another lady 😳, tries to slip away but bumps into someone, and boom, Jun-Pyo spots her too 👀. Back on the streets, she gets into trouble again but the Ji-Hoo squad rolls up just in time to save her from some goons trying to snatch her suitcase 👜💥. They ask if she saw Jun-Pyo and Jan-Di’s like “nah, he’s probably busy,” but Ji-Hoo’s intuition’s telling him something’s up 🤨.

Meanwhile, Jun-Pyo’s playing Mr. Nice Businessman now 💼, but his mom’s plotting a marriage with some rich fam’s daughter—major drama brewing 👰💍. Jan-Di and the boys hit a restaurant and Ji-Hoo spots Jun-Pyo and wisely suggests they bounce to another spot — old friendships, no awkward vibes 🙅‍♂️. Ji-Hoo gives Yi-Jeong a look and she totally gets it, while Woo Bin gets handled smoothly 😅. Jun-Pyo’s life? Total calendar slave 📅, scared to fit friends in and hide stuff from his controlling mom. Luckily, the chairman (mom’s right-hand dude) cuts him some slack behind his back 🫶.

The friends spill Jan-Di’s presence and Jun-Pyo talks mad trash about her — boom, Yi-Jeong punches him 🥊 (love her energy, but tbh Ji-Hoo’s still the real MVP 🥰). To cheer Jan-Di up, the squad plays hide & seek—pure wholesome vibes 🥳. Then Jun-Pyo pops up on a street ad, Jan-Di feels sad, but Ji-Hoo pulls her aside for a heartwarming hug 🤗💖. Their friendship is goals AF.

Later, Ji-Hoo talks Jun-Pyo into meeting Jan-Di, but Jun-Pyo breaks up with her early morning 💔. Yi-Jeong and Woo Bin gotta bounce back to Korea, leaving Jan-Di heartbroken with Ji-Hoo, who’s basically her emotional rock 🥲. At the airport, Jan-Di spots some pricey shoes 👠, Jun-Pyo tries to buy them, but Ha-Je-Kyung grabs ‘em too — shoe drama ensues 😆. The chairman smooth-talks Ha-Je-Kyung into letting Jun-Pyo have the shoes 👔.

Plot twist: the old dude from the restaurant is actually Ji-Hoo’s grandpa and works in a small clinic, not some fancy hospital 👴🏥. Jun-Pyo’s mom checks in with the chairman, happy Jan-Di and Ji-Hoo will leave soon. But wait, at the airport, Ji-Hoo’s old friend makes them stay back because he lowkey loves Ji-Hoo and is jelly of Jan-Di 🥲. Cue more cuteness overload, can’t even put it into words 😍.

The chairman gets Jun-Pyo’s back and marks down Ji-Hoo and Jan-Di’s flight time. Ji-Hoo buys those shoes for Jan-Di and helps her put them on — but then Jun-Pyo walks in, looks like a proposal moment, and punches Ji-Hoo instead 😂🔥. Jan-Di’s mad, Ji-Hoo’s mad, and they board the flight, leaving Jun-Pyo crying at the airport 💔😭. Classic k-drama rich kid feels with the kind manager but bad parents 🥹.

Jun-Pyo forgets the shoes, Ha-Je-Kyung snags them again. Back home, Jan-Di’s helping out at a restaurant and delivers food to the clinic, making sure the old doc (Ji-Hoo’s grandpa) eats 🥰. She’s got that caring vibe, and the doc’s lowkey loving her energy 👵❤️. A sudden childbirth happens, Jan-Di helps out, and she’s over the moon — finds her second dream to become a doctor 👩‍⚕️✨.

Next, Jun-Pyo’s mom invites Jan-Di to his birthday, but it turns into a total mess—she’s forced to sing, gets insulted, and her engagement to Ha-Je-Kyung is announced 😱💥. Jun-Pyo storms out, grabs who he thinks is Jan-Di but it’s Ha-Je-Kyung — awkward! They both hate this forced marriage and their playful fights are adorbs 😍. Ha-Je-Kyung even enrols in their school as Jun-Pyo’s “fiancée,” getting chill with him after a few meetups 🏫💕

Meanwhile, Jun-Pyo and his mom keep clashing until his sister calls her out — “Leave Jun-Pyo alone, don’t ruin his life like you did mine!” 🔥. Jan-Di’s parents are sick, so she helps clean Ji-Hoo’s art centre 🎨🧹 while Ji-Hoo watches old family vids — turns out the old doc is his grandpa! Jan-Di and Ji-Hoo bond cleaning together, total cuteness overload 💖.

Jan-Di faints in the washroom, Ji-Hoo takes care of her and calls the doc 🥺. Jun-Pyo visits and catches Ji-Hoo holding Jan-Di’s hand like a lovesick puppy 😤💔. Jealous much? Jun-Pyo accepts the engagement with Ha-Je-Kyung, and she runs to Jan-Di like “You’re my only friend!” 😢.

At school, Ha-Je-Kyung makes Jun-Pyo kiss her to prove their “love,” and Jan-Di and Ji-Hoo see it. Ji-Hoo shields Jan-Di’s eyes like a total diamond-hearted bro 💎🥹. To cheer her up, Ji-Hoo spends the day with Jan-Di eating at a small joint — then Jun-Pyo and Ha-Je-Kyung show up! Jan-Di and Ha-Je-Kyung get a free coupon for eating 30 bowls 🍜🤯 and go all out, shocking the boys with their insane appetite. Ladies FTW! 👑🔥

So, Ga-eul lowkey starts crushing on Yi-Jeong 💕 and decides to learn pottery 🎨👐. Meanwhile, we get flashbacks of Yi-Jeong’s tough times growing up—he used to hide under tables during his parents’ fights 😢 and his childhood bestie (who he secretly loved 😳) now lives with his estranged brother. Major feels! 😔

Jae-Kyung thinks Jan-Di is Ji-Hoo’s girl (aww, cute misunderstanding 🥰) and plans a trip for the four of them. She even makes a ring with the same design as Jun-Pyo’s necklace to flex on Jan-Di 💍✨. Speaking of Jan-Di, she’s chilling by the pool when the chain Jun-Pyo gave her slips into the water 😱💦. She jumps in to save it but can’t get out—OMG, Jun-Pyo actually swims and saves her 🙌🏊‍♂️ (like, he faced his fears just to be her hero, #respect). Ji-Hoo and Jae-Kyung hear the commotion too, and Ji-Hoo whisks Jan-Di away, while Jae-Kyung notices the dropped chain and gets suspicious 👀.

Later, Jun-Pyo’s swimming again, and Jae-Kyung joins him for a hug 🤗. He’s real with her, saying he can’t be who she wants 😔, so she just covers her ears and runs off to avoid hearing the tough truth. Jun-Pyo heads back solo and texts Ji-Hoo that he’s leaving. But guess what? Jae-Kyung lies, telling everyone they had a super steamy night 🔥 and that’s why Jun-Pyo bounced early 🙄. Jan-Di accidentally drops a spoon that was hers, kinda confirming the drama 🍴😬.

Jan-Di and Ji-Hoo visit a temple where the priest blesses them and tells Ji-Hoo that Jan-Di is gonna bring him family vibes soon 🙏💖.

Meanwhile, Jan-Di’s fam hits hard times and moves back to their hometown 🏡. She stays in a small house with her brother. Yi-Jeong, missing his ex who ditched him for his brother 😤, starts drinking and ends up in a fight where his hand gets busted 🥊. Woo Bin shows up like a hero defending Yi-Jeong, reminding everyone his hand’s worth a million ’cause he’s a pottery prodigy with awards since age 13 🏆🔥. Flashback reveals the ex is actually Ga-eul’s pottery teacher 🤯.

Jun-Pyo’s mom has to jet abroad ✈️ and tells the chairman to keep an eye on Jun-Pyo and the biz. Jun-Pyo keeps hitting the pool hoping to find Jan-Di, but no luck yet 😞.

Then, he finds out from Yi-Jeong everything Jan-Di’s been through—her family’s downfall, her move, all because of his mom’s mess 😔. So, Jun-Pyo rents a place next to Jan-Di’s house, lowkey stalking but not telling anyone 🤫. He even eats with them (Jan-Di’s like “Noooo!”) and screams about bugs at night, so she ends up babysitting him 😂. Major cute moments as they start liking each other more and more 💕

Jan-Di’s at the library looking for books and suddenly sees a boot and a smile—that’s Ji-Hoo, passed out and sleeping like a rich king 👢😴. Ji-Hoo then surprises her by opening a private exhibition just for her assignment 🙌🎨, showing their amazing friendship (and also my heart breaking for him every second 💔). Ji-Hoo x Jan-Di scenes = pure gold and my forever fave second lead feels 💖.

Yi-Jeong, realizing Ga-eul likes him, decides to be the worst dude possible on purpose 😈. He takes her on a “date,” flirts with other girls, drinks too much, and then drags her to dinner with his dad, saying, “Is this girl your type?” Ga-eul throws water on him and bounces like a boss 💦🚶‍♀️🔥.

Jun-Pyo’s packing to move to the small house and asks the chairman to keep tabs on his mom. Jae-Kyung crashes his room wanting to go shopping 🛍️, and he’s like nah, but when she says it’s for Jan-Di, he’s suddenly ready to slay that shopping spree 🛒😂.

After the exhibition, Ji-Hoo drops Jan-Di at the clinic and notices his grandpa’s old photos and violin cards 🎻👴. He almost bolts but his grandpa shows up, tells him to wait, and tries to talk some sense into him about feeling abandoned 😢. Ji-Hoo walks away, hiding, and then we see him crying in the rain—pure heartbreak 💔🌧️. Flashback reveals that after his parents died, the grandpa (a former prez!) just left him alone with all the cash and bounced 😭.

Jan-Di’s already at Ji-Hoo’s place when he finally comes home and collapses. She stays with him, nurses his fever, cooks, and leaves quietly the next morning 🥺🍲.

Meanwhile, Jun-Pyo’s losing his mind ‘cause Jan-Di’s MIA and they get into a fight when she finally returns 😤. His mom’s back from abroad and shows the chairman pics of Jun-Pyo hanging around Jan-Di’s hood 📸😬. The chairman apologizes, saying he dropped the ball.

Ji-Hoo searches for Jan-Di but can’t find her, then runs into Ga-eul at a restaurant who spills where Jan-Di moved 🤔. Suddenly, Jun-Pyo gets grabbed by his mom’s bodyguards and dragged into a car — intense much? 🚗💨

Ji-Hoo calls the squad, and Jun-Pyo’s mom throws shade at Jan-Di, questioning her character ‘cause three guys came to her place late at night 🙄. Next morning, all of them plus Ga-eul show up asking for a housewarming party — they even start painting and decorating the place, super wholesome vibes 🎉🎨.

Plot twist: Shinhawa buys the building and starts demolishing Jan-Di’s house while she and her brother sleep 😱🏚️. She sends her brother away and is now totally alone on the streets 🥲. Ji-Hoo waits for her at the hospital but bails when he sees his grandpa turning off the lights and walking out 😔.

A total rollercoaster of feelings, friendship, love, and mad cute moments 🥰🔥

Omg, Jan-Di totally collapses near the clinic and guess what? Jun-Pyo’s sis just happens to be passing by and takes her home! But here’s the weirdest flex — she makes Jan-Di a special maid uniform and boom, Jan-Di becomes a maid at Jun-Pyo’s crib 😳🧹. Then the maid chief, who’s like Jun-Pyo’s grandma, comes back from taking care of some other place and starts training Jan-Di. Meanwhile, Jun-Pyo’s treating her all special, which is kinda sus but also cute? 🙃

Meanwhile, Ga-eul visits a wasted Yi-Jeong who’s drunk and spilling tea about his ex who left him. At pottery class, the teacher drops hints about a dude who never showed up, and Ga-eul notices a maze puzzle piece on the teacher’s bag — she’s like, “lemme borrow this” ‘cause it matches a missing piece from Yi-Jeong’s workshop 🌀. After Yi-Jeong’s hand drama, Ga-eul helps him get back on track, but when he spots the maze piece with her, he’s kinda salty 😬. Ga-eul’s putting together all the missing puzzle pieces now.

On the Ji-Hoo side, his grandpa’s sick, so Jan-Di asks if Ji-Hoo’s got a spare room to lend someone — he can’t say no to her, so he’s like “sure” 🤷‍♂️. Ji-Hoo’s ignoring his grandpa at first but then notices they eat the same way (leftovers and all) — cute bonding moment! Jan-Di drags him to the clinic to help patients and yep, she’s still working as a maid for Jun-Pyo 😬. One morning, Jan-Di wakes Jun-Pyo up, and he pulls her back on the bed, right as his mom and Jae-kyung show up — and Jun-Pyo’s mom is NOT happy to see Jan-Di there 🙄.

Jae-kyung steps in like a boss, tells mom to chill, and announces Jun-Pyo and Jae-kyung’s marriage — and wants Jan-Di as bridesmaid? Awkward vibes all around 😬. Ji-Hoo’s grandpa invites him fishing to clear the air about the past — turns out Ji-Hoo’s parents were killed, and grandpa had to hide him to keep him safe. Also, the restaurant owner’s dad used to cook for the president (grandpa) back in the day, so they all have history!

Grandpa likes Jan-Di and wants to set her up with Ji-Hoo. He calls them to meet but doesn’t show, so they prank him by entering a wedding dress contest together, totally slaying and even do a cheek kiss — poor Ji-Hoo, so much drama 🥲. They win a trip to Jeju but Jan-Di wanted the pricier 2nd prize, so they switch. Cut to the island for Jun-Pyo and Jae-kyung’s wedding — Jae-kyung admits she knows Jun-Pyo likes Jan-Di but isn’t backing down 💅.

Then Jun-Pyo drops to one knee begging Jae-kyung not to marry him, but his mom’s henchmen kidnap Jan-Di and send pics to him — talk about bad timing 😰. At the wedding, when the priest asks if anyone objects, Jae-kyung says “I object” but priest ignores her, so Ji-Hoo, Yi-Jeong, Woo-bin, and Ga-eul all shout “I object!” and the wedding’s called off — savage! Jae-kyung tells Jun-Pyo to go on a ship while her bodyguards save Jan-Di.

Later, Jae-kyung returns Jan-Di’s dropped chain to Ji-Hoo, and love vibes are back. Jan-Di thanks Jae-kyung at the airport, who’s holding Jun-Pyo’s old airport shoes (aww, bittersweet). Back in town, Jun-Pyo’s mom storms into the restaurant to drag Jan-Di away ‘cause she’s just a maid there. But Ji-Hoo’s grandpa, the ex-president, steps in and makes her back off like a boss 😎.

Grandpa makes Jan-Di stay at Ji-Hoo’s since she’s homeless now. More cute but heartbreak feels between the squad. Ga-eul figures out Yi-Jeong’s past — he was always surrounded by girls, and his supposed girlfriend (the pottery teacher) once left him a letter asking him to meet but he was too drunk and lost it 😢. Ga-eul promises to find the letter and help him heal.

Then the Shinhawa chairman secretly hires Jan-Di to visit a coma patient (who’s actually Jun-Pyo’s dad, thought dead) — paying her big bucks for her warm heart 💖. Jan-Di and Ji-Hoo have adorbs moments, but Ji-Hoo’s love confession gets crushed when she’s asleep 😔.

Ga-eul is still searching for that rooftop meeting spot for Yi-Jeong, but no luck yet. Jan-Di babysits a kid at the hospital while Jun-Pyo sneaks out with bodyguards following him, but he dodges and meets Jan-Di at the park — baby + them = pure cuteness 😍. Jun-Pyo’s mom spots this on the news and calls the chairman — drama alert!

Ga-eul finally finds Yi-Jeong on a rooftop between two ads that form “I love you Yi-Jeong” when the sun rises 🌅 — tears and realization hit hard. Yi-Jeong’s slowly opening up to Ga-eul romantically now 💞.

Ji-Hoo’s grandpa has a heart attack after hearing about a project delay (thanks to Jun-Pyo’s mom blocking Ji-Hoo’s help to Jan-Di). Jan-Di decides to leave Jun-Pyo to protect Ji-Hoo. Grandpa tells her to take Ji-Hoo out of his misery, basically shipping them 😏.

Ji-Hoo plays “Because I’m Stupid” on piano — iconic anthem for all of us — then confesses love but gets drowned out by fountain sounds. Jan-Di says goodbye to the coma patient as a finger twitches — hope glimmers 🌟. She confronts Jun-Pyo’s mom to stop the chaos and decides to meet Jun-Pyo one last time for a day full of food, sweet moments, and a heart-wrenching breakup kiss 😭. Jun-Pyo is left broken on the street, and I’m crying too, not gonna lie.

Ji-Hoo comes home after grandpa’s discharge and finds Jan-Di’s goodbye note — too late to catch her 😞. Jan-Di’s back in the countryside with her folks selling fish, mom bragging about her schooling and dating the Shinhawa heir (such flex) 😂.

Yi-Jeong’s ready to confess to Ga-eul but she’s like, “First fix your hand and then spill the tea.” Meanwhile, Jun-Pyo’s drunk and gets arrested for smashing stuff 🤦‍♂️. The chairman and Jun-Pyo’s sis bail him out, and chairman drops the bomb that Jun-Pyo’s dad is alive 🙀. Jun-Pyo fights his mom and goes to see his dad — more drama incoming!

OMG y’all, so Ji-Hoo’s on his usual mission to find Jan-Di, right? 📺👀 He’s watching the news and spots her selling fish at the market 🐟. Using his connections, he figures out where the news was filmed and heads there. He tells Jun-Pyo he found her, but Jun-Pyo’s like nah, not going 😒. So, Ji-Hoo just drops the address and bounces. Meanwhile, Jan-Di’s mom has been borrowing cash from neighbours saying Jan-Di will pay back ‘cause she’s “dating the Shinhawa heir” 😂. Everyone’s expecting the heir to show up, and guess who steps up? Ji-Hoo, looking like the hero, says he’ll pay 💸. People start thinking Ji-Hoo IS the Shinhawa heir, and Jan-Di’s lowkey amused how he always pops up to save her 🥲. Jun-Pyo’s watching from afar, secretly coming despite saying he won’t 🤭.

Then, Ji-Hoo drops a ring-on-a-chin proposal (smooth move!), but Jan-Di’s like, “Nah, still hung up on Jun-Pyo” 💔. She cries, he hugs her tight — so sweet, I’m crying too 🥹. On his way back, a drunk guy tries to run Ji-Hoo over, but Jun-Pyo jumps in to save him and gets hurt instead 😱. The drunk dude’s a victim of the shady Shinhawa crew wanting to kill the heir!

Jun-Pyo’s mom swings by the hospital but has a major fight with her daughter who throws serious shade about her not even knowing what Jun-Pyo likes 🤨. Mom pretends to be tough but totally breaks down after she leaves. Jan-Di follows her, spills all the tea about Jun-Pyo’s likes (like, “he loves eating this!”), which is kinda sarcastic but also funny 😂.

Ji-Hoo’s sitting alone crying in the clinic, and his grandpa hugs him tight — bawling all the way 🥲. Then the drama gets wild: Jun-Pyo’s awake but has amnesia and doesn’t remember Jan-Di. He thinks she’s Ji-Hoo’s girlfriend and is super cold to her 😤. Another girl starts flirting hard, even claims she made the lunch Jan-Di brought, and Jun-Pyo buys it — ouch! At a party, Jan-Di sees Jun-Pyo ignoring her, so she throws a chain into the pool and jumps in. Jun-Pyo flashes back to all the moments Jan-Di saved him and rushes in to save her. Memory restored, finally! 🙌

Fast forward to graduation day, Jan-Di’s still at the clinic rocking her uniform, no party vibes yet. Suddenly a limo rolls up and all the F4 squad’s waiting to party with her 🎉. She dances with each of them, and it’s super sweet how she remembers what they all meant to her 🥰. Jun-Pyo’s not there ‘cause he’s waiting for her at the trolley spot where they got stuck before. He proposes but Jan-Di says, “Hold up, gotta do me first.” 💖

Then, 3 years later, Jun-Pyo’s in an interview and casually drops he’s got a crush he’ll confess to soon 🥹. Jun-Pyo’s mom is now caring for her hubby who’s out of coma (plot twist 😳). Ga-eul’s a teacher and Yi-Jeong shows up, calling her his “teacher” — and a kid asks if they’re dating! Yep, love is official now 🥰. Ji-Hoo’s a doctor, helping his grandpa, and Jan-Di’s volunteering with kids. She’s late to the bus, and who’s sitting there? Ji-Hoo, ofc, teasing her like always 😄. When a sandstorm hits, Ji-Hoo hugs a little girl to protect her — so adorable 😍.

Then Jun-Pyo shows up on the beach with a loudspeaker, calling Jan-Di over and proposing again! 💍 Ji-Hoo’s like “I object!” and the whole crew shows up for the ultimate squad reunion. The END. Super cute and heart-melting, fr 😭💖✨
